Mrs. S. Williams
Bio
A native of New Orleans, currently residing here in Baton Rouge since Hurricane Katrina. I am married (Keith), have two sons, Keldrick (30), and Bryce (15). I also care for my 94-year old grandmother, Gloria who is the also the love of my life. I enjoy traveling and spending time with family and friends, and being an entrepreneur.
Education
I received my Bachelor's degree in Human Services from University of Phoenix. I also completed my Master's degree in Special Education from Ashford University. I have completed alternative teaching courses with iTeach Louisiana in which I am a certified Elementary Education and Middle School ELA teacher.
Employment
For a number of years, I’ve worked in the healthcare industry. After a change in careers, I began working in the EBR School System in which I worked as a 4th grade Reading Interventionist for three years. The past 10 years, I taught at a local private school. During the 2019-2020 school year, I was selected Teacher of the Year. I've taught second, fourth, fifth, seventh, and eighth grade ELA.
This is my third year at McKinley Middle Magnet School.
I am grateful for this journey and the many opportunities to grow along the way.
